just 54 opjects, this is the first practice i got sharing control. i had been modeling simple forms, quickly working out surface details and transitions, various gross morphologies and many references simultainiously while shying away from representing anything directly. this practice was at a rather fluid pace when makai agreed to give digiplasty a try. keeping the rules simple we worked with little verbal or text interplay, as little as possible at first, encouraging something suggestive formally from the activity. looking for disernable communicative activities in each object, making fairly tame changes each pass.
digiplasty collaboration No.1 is the first of our experiments with shared control digital sculpture. This work has been fully documented on line since February of 2002. In order to preserve the history of the project we have not altered the original documentation

Prior to this initial collaboration, digiplasty was just an idea; a proposal for collaborative inquiry in partial completion of previous course work. That original proposal was documented and can be viewed here.
