I picked this object as a representative for my digital work general, for two reasons. for one it shares much with the many hundreds of non-objective objects i made in the many thousands of hours of computer time.
while these objects are not limited to the digiplasty project, a look through those objects would show this relationship clearly. secondly this object eludes to the way forward from strictly digital work toward the action objects.

here is another digital series directly linked to ongoing analog works.

digital sculpture is a compelling venture to be sure, i was from the start drawn to the magic of the technology, and i got very involved and advocated strongly for the processes and products of computer aided sculpture.
however having looked into the computer more deeply, and the history of, and current production and disposal methods the many problematic realities surrounding computers and the real damages already wrought by our current level of computer use leads me on principle to leave this venture and try to make my work in ways that are minimally destructive.
